The Regional Counseling and Support Centre (rBFZ)
The regional Counseling and Support Centre (rBFZ) of Schule am Budenberg in Haiger is the point of contact for parents, teachers and schools seeking support with special needs education questions. We advise, accompany and provide support — free of charge, confidentially and on an equal footing.
Our Tasks
As a regional Counseling and Support Centre, we take on a wide range of tasks in the field of special needs educational support:
- Counseling for parents and legal guardians on questions regarding the development and support of their child — from school enrolment through to graduation
- Support for mainstream schools in the Haiger catchment area with the inclusive education of pupils with special educational needs
- Special needs educational assessment as part of the procedure for determining entitlement to special needs educational support
- Preventive measures (VM) at mainstream schools: counseling, outpatient support and cooperative collaboration with teachers
- Family classes in cooperation with the Albert-Schweitzer-Kinderdorf — a special programme for families facing particular challenges
- Continuing education and specialist advice for teaching staff at mainstream schools on topics such as inclusion, compensation for disadvantages, the autism spectrum and school absenteeism
Who Are We Here For?
Our services are aimed at three target groups:
- Parents and families: Are you worried about your child’s development? Do you have questions about special needs educational support, school enrolment or changing schools? Give us a call — we will advise you personally, free of charge and without obligation.
- Teachers at mainstream schools: Do you teach pupils with special educational needs and are looking for support? Our BFZ teachers come directly to your school and work together with you on individual solutions.
- School leaders and teaching staff: Are you planning inclusive measures or do you need specialist expertise in special needs education? We are happy to advise you on implementation and are available to provide continuing education.
Our Catchment Area
The rBFZ of Schule am Budenberg supports schools in the town of Haiger and the surrounding municipalities in the western Lahn-Dill district. Our BFZ teachers are regularly on site at the mainstream schools and serve as permanent contact persons.
