Lived participation at Schule am Budenberg. Our school is carried by three equal pillars — students, parents, and the school community. Together we shape everyday life and make important decisions.
The three pillars of our school
Student Council (SV)
The Student Council of Schule am Budenberg meets regularly at least every two weeks. The meetings are organised and led by the trusted teacher and the respective head student.

The class representatives from all classes take part in the Student Council meetings. Current topics concerning school life are discussed — from break-time activities and school events to requests for new materials.
In the individual classes, the topics are discussed beforehand in the Class Council — a well-established democratic format that fosters personal responsibility and participation.
The head students are elected for a term of 2 years by the student body and represent the interests of their fellow pupils.
Parents’ Council
The class parents’ representatives are elected at the beginning of each school year for a term of two years. They are the most important link between home and school.

All elected parents’ representatives together form the Parents’ Council (SEB). The SEB meets at least once per term and discusses all important school matters — from the organisation of lessons to school events.
School Conference
The School Conference is the highest co-decision body of the school. It is made up of representatives of teachers, parents and — in secondary schools — students.

The School Conference decides on fundamental questions of school life, such as the school programme, the house rules, the introduction of all-day offers or the use of budget funds.
Our Guiding Principles
Schule am Budenberg sees itself as a community in which co-decision, respect and responsibility are lived. Our councils are not just formal duties, but real places of encounter and exchange — between students, parents and the teaching staff.
